Grief Resolution

Grief Resolution

Loss is a part of life. We experience loss and grief when we lose a part of ourselves to the process of aging, disease, or loss of functionality. Sometimes we lose a limb, the ability to express ourselves through speech, or even the ability to listen. We also lose loved ones, those with whom we have shared a deep connection.

Grief resolution is an incredibly important part of life. Grief can cause emotional suffering, physical disease, and physical pain and disability. Suppressing the emotion of grief may lead us to depression, inactivity, loss of interest in life, and loss of pleasure and connection with ourselves and others. If we suppress grief, we become isolated from our most longstanding and intimate partner, ourselves.

In our work together, we may explore this area of life and work to resolve it. We may resolve the grief but regain the love. I have experienced the loss of a child and have deeply engaged in the process of grief work.
